The National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) is subject to the policies and procedures of the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).
Policies:
Bespoke NPCC/NPoCC Policies
NPCC as a hosted organisation is required to comply with MPS policies except where they are deemed incompatible with NPCC requirements. As a result all MPS policies which are subject to four yearly review in the MPS are subject to a yearly review in NPCC to ensure they are fit for purpose.
The NPCC is subject to the recruitment procedures of the MPS.
The NPCC is subject to the records management and personnel data policies of the MPS.
The NPCC's publication scheme is based on the Freedom of Information Act Definition document for police forces produced by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
All complaints against the NPCC Chair should be directed to the Chair of the Performance Sub Committee, Chief Constable Rod Hansen.
NPCC staff are either employed by, or seconded into, the MPS and are subject to their disciplinary procedures. To make a complaint about a member of staff, or to make a general complaint about the NPCC, please contact the MPS Directorate of Professional Standards by calling 101, or via their website.
