Data can be used to track and intercept criminal activity quickly, better prevent crime and protect those most vulnerable from harm. When utilised proportionately and ethically, data is an asset to policing.
The National Police Data and Analytics Board (NPDAB) is in place to improve the quality and use of our data, in order to ensure a modernised, data driven police service that is equipped to combat ever advancing criminal tactics.
NPDAB reports into the Digital, Data and Technology Coordination Committee (DDaTCC), and works collaboratively with a series of sub-boards:

NPDAB is chaired by T/DCC Chris Todd of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, and Aimee Smith, Director of Data at the Metropolitan Police.
