Performance Management

Head: Chair of PMCC – Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist, Metropolitan Police

The coordination committee shares best practice across all forces in England and Wales and is currently engaged in a significant piece of work, working in collaboration with the Home Office, His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Consbulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS), National Crime Agency and Association of Police Crime Commissioners, to develop a Digital Crime and Performance Pack. 

The objectives of the committee are:

  • To support the aims and strategic objectives of the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) through its business plan and its work on performance management in policing.
  • Convene and strengthen performance management practitioners across the service.
  • Represent the service on Police Performance Oversight Group and Crime and Police Performance Board.
  • Lead on HMICFRS representations, including the HMICFRS strategic group.
